Brazil stands among the great nations who have pioneered aviation. Both ENAC and ENAC Alumni have a long-standing relationship with the country and its aviation institutions. Over the past few years, our community in Brazil has been growing strong and fast with the graduation of students who successfully completed Advanced Masters and Master Courses taught in Brazil in addition to Brazilian students attending graduate and continuing education programs in Toulouse.

In October 2021, Gaël LE BRIS (IENAC 07), ENAC Alumni's Head of International Development, announced the creation of our chapter ENAC Alumni Brasil during a presentation of our activities at the graduation ceremony of the ANM Advanced Master in Brazil. This aligned with ENAC Alumni's policy of creating chapters everywhere our members have roots, are based, or have projects. Last month, our chapter in Brazil held its first ever in-person event. Gaël Le Bris joined our membership in the federal capital, Brasília, for an afterwork meeting at the Golden Tulip Alvorada.

During the evening, alumni gathered, shared memories about their time with ENAC, talked about the latest and greatest in aviation, and conversed about the future of their chapter. Gaël Le Bris presented the strategy of the association regarding network development and the benefits of being part of an active national chapter. Attendees agreed on the need to fast-track the emergence of ENAC Alumni Brasil and the many opportunities for meaningful programs and activities benefitting its members.

Marco PORTO (MS ANM 18), Market Oversight Manager at the National Agency of Civil Aviation (ANAC), was unanimously proposed as Chair of the chapter – and he was immediately confirmed on this position by Gaël.

In the coming weeks, Marco and Gaël will work together on identifying a vice chair to support the development of ENAC Alumni Brasil. Planning is underway for another afterwork event–in São Paulo this time, likely next month around LABACE (Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition). Stay tuned for more information, and do not hesitate to reach out to us if you would like to volunteer with ENAC Alumni in Brazil!

Love it
