The Air Mobility Think Tank is a group created by aviation innovation enthusiasts to exchange ideas in an open-minded working environment. It will provide a forum for alumni and non-alumni to discuss the emergence of new ways of using aviation to transport people and goods.
We look forward to exploring new concepts in advanced air mobility and beyond. Our aim is to support the emergence of these technologies without losing sight of the priorities of our industry, which are always seeking to improve safety, reliability and sustainability. We put our skills at the service of society, acknowledging our role as aviation professionals.
The scope of work includes transversal topics related to the introduction of new technologies for air mobility and other services provided by piloted or autonomous vehicles. This includes, but is not limited to, electric VTOL piloted aircraft for urban transport, autonomous drones for the delivery of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals, etc.
The think tank's objectives are:
- Create a place where knowledge related to air mobility is centralized, and where professionals can find answers to their questions through our network.
- Create a forum to discuss emerging issues and provide consensus analysis that can help develop and implement new concepts safely and efficiently.
- Contribute to the emergence of sustainable aerial innovation by presenting our ideas in the form of articles, white papers, conferences, etc.
The think tank will offer roundtables on strategic topics, working groups to tackle industry "hot topics", webinars, afterwork events, and more.
Stay tuned... We will soon be announcing a webinar session by a drone industry expert on the state of the art in UAS detection. We will also propose, as a first topic of analysis, an assessment of the robustness of the European air traffic management framework for UAS known as "U-space".
How can I join the think tank?
You don't need to be an expert in air mobility to take part - every contribution is important and valued. What's more, we're all stakeholders in the introduction of these new technologies into our society, and we all learn from each other. There's a place for everyone in this think tank.
