An ENAC post-doctoral student is a finalist in the "SESAR Young Scientist Award 2024".

Andreas GUITART (IENAC 16), post-doctoral fellow at ENAC's SINA/OPTIM department, has been selected as one of three finalists for the prestigious SESAR Young Scientist Award 2024 in the PhD category.

Holding a PhD on "Development of trajectory generation algorithms for improved air transport safety" since December 2023, Andreas has already contributed to more than 20 studies on emergency trajectory generation, trajectory optimization, emergency response, contrail reduction and enhanced air traffic management safety.

The award recognizes young scientists who make a significant contribution to advances in air traffic management and aviation research, while supporting their professional development. The winner will be announced at the SESAR Innovation Days in Rome, to be held from November 11 to 15, 2024.
