Innovation and technology

The word "innovation" has become omnipresent in the worlds of business and research. Ecotechnology designates, in a restricted circle of transdisciplinary reflection, the objective of inventing new relationships between technical objects and their associated environments. Is it possible to imagine how innovation research could be put at the service of ecotechnology? By looking back at the various meanings that innovation has received over its rather long history and by elaborating its meaning through a technological approach inspired by Gilbert Simondon's philosophy of techniques, we will raise the issues of the variable articulations of technical functioning with the environment, particularly according to the scales considered.

Speaker: Vincent Bontems, researcher at the CEA, philosopher of technique and specialist in technical lineages, co-author of a collective work on the philosophy of technique and its contribution to ecology (https://www.cairn.info/ecologie-et-technologie--9782373613193.htm).
